«Little France», «Crimean Versailles»- this is what tourists say about the Massandra Palace in Yalta. In its current form, it was built for Emperor Alexander III. The original design by the French architect Bouchard was redesigned by the Russian architect Messmacher, adding more decorative elements and color to the building. It really looked like a castle from a children's fairy tale. There are many different styles in the interior - Romanesque, Gothic, Baroque, Classicism. A lot of wood decor, beautiful and refined. Near the castle there is a chic park with a stone pool with goldfish and a fountain.
